This year The London EDITION has partnered with creative design duo Craig & Karl to reimagine the hotel’s spectacular glass cube as part of its annual installation in celebration of Pride.
Designers Craig Redman and Karl Maier have brought their signature love of colour to this bold installation, which draws on the rainbow colours of the Pride flag and the LGBTQ+ pink triangle. This celebratory statement welcomes guests through the hotel into the lobby, via the brightly coloured transparent cube, which creates a brilliant experience that complements the sophisticated approach of The London EDITION interiors.
On the installation, Redman and Maier shared “Our aim is for this to be vibrant and inviting. When the sun streams through the lobby, it creates a fantastic effect, and is a bright, fun way to welcome in everyone.”
Craig & Karl are widely known for their mass-scale, colourful installations across the world like the 14,000 square foot ‘candy carpet’ they created in Chengdu, China in 2015 having also worked on projects for clients including LVMH, The New York Times and Tate Modern.
