On September 23, 2021, the ecological show “The Mount Everest Fashion Runway” took place in Nepal. A high-altitude fashion show among the glaciers and snow of the Himalayas, a reflection on sustainability and climate change.

The event organized by Kasa Style and R.B. Diamond Jewelers with the support of the Nepalese tourism organization to celebrate the creative essence of Nepal has transformed the snow-capped mountains of the Himalayas into a magnificent backdrop.

The parade organized to enhance Nepalese sustainability, culture and production, and above all, to raise awareness on climate change and melting ice took place on a catwalk installed at 5500 meters, an altitude that allowed him to enter Guinness. Ten models from all over the world presented the new creations of the stylists Ramila Nemkul and Kasa. Italy was represented by Elisa Caterina Egger and her boyfriend Prince Cosimo dei Medici, a couple strongly committed to the defense of the planet.

    THE PARADE

Silhouettes marked by freedom, noble materials: cashmere, natural and biodegradable fabrics. Deconstructed lines animated by the chromatic and luministic suggestions of Nepal: pink, mint green, yellow, white, the infinite shades of beige. The Nepalese tradition reworked in a very modern key appears on the joyful dressing gown coats with two-tone pockets, on the surprising pashminas decorated with fringes and crystals that evoke warm hugs, on the trousers and on the two-tone dresses, all lightened by iconic stripes, witty wool pom poms and delicate wavy graphics that recall the paths of the Nepalese mountains.

The first “Buddhist Fashion Line” was also launched on the catwalk of “The Mount Everest Fashion Runway”, a collection created following the teachings of Lord Buddha, Ahimsa Parmo Dharma. Not only green fashion but also ethical and NOVIOLENTA, aimed at enhancing both nature and man with his culture. All made following the canons of Buddhist philosophy: harmony of lines and colors, absence of strident contrasts and above all respect for every living being. Mishu’s accessories are beautiful, completely sustainable and perfectly matched to the “Buddhist Fashion Line”. The designer Mishu creates pure cashmere coats, stoles and scarves, all decorated with Swarovski or with suggestive embroidery. An exceptional witness was Prince Cosimo dei Medici; for the first time an Italian prince paraded in Nepal wearing and supporting made in Nepal.

All models wore R.B. Diamond Jewelers. Jewels in which the designer Riken Maharjan of R.B. Diamond Jewelers, reinterprets the codes of the Nepalese tradition in a contemporary key.

Elisa Caterina Egger closed the show wearing a gold and diamond crown, also made by Riken Maharjan, who was inspired by the Himalayan mountains for the design, in particular Everest. Riken Maharjan also presented a crown in kyanite, a typical stone of Nepal.
