FabUk had the pleasure to chat with Dilson Silva, professional dancer and cultural producer.

On the last week of September, Silva organized an evening in London celebrating Amazon Forest, showing the culture of the Indians, their values, traditions and legends.
1 hour and half of joy and beauty with more than 10 artists in a fantastic atmosphere. A show to not be forgotten, It had the best of Brazilian dance and show in one unique performance.

FabUk: What is the idea behind Amazon Wonders show?

Dilson Silva: I’ve come across this great idea of producing a show that focuses on the wonders of the Amazon, which aims to entertain but also educate people about the folklore dance and rituals from the Amazon. We’d like to bring the show into a much larger scale so we can reach a bigger audience.
Last month, we held our first performance in a tiny theatre in Pimlico(with a seating capacity of 90), tickets sold out, and it was a massive success. For this reason, we would like to expand.

Before the event, we had many preparations going on. From customising all the clothing to the final stages of the rehearsals, and as such, involved, involved long and tiring sessions of non-stop training in making sure everyone was in the right shape for the event’s date.

Stay tuned for the next events https://www.facebook.com/wondersamazon/
