Anna’s work with Perrie from Little Mix went viral at the end of last year, when she transformed her into Ursula from The Little Mermaid, and it’s this style of creative all-out makeover that has earned Anna her status as one of the most sought after MUA’s in the UK.
Anna’s passion for art and beauty began when she was at school, but a career in makeup just wasn’t something that seemed realistic. It wasn’t until six years ago, when she painted herself as a zebra for a fancy dress party, that her true talent was realised. Friends began asking her to do the same for them, and before she knew it she was painting faces at local schools, fetes and events.
Working in finance at the time, Anna took a leap of faith and made the brave decision to start her career as a freelance MUA at the age of 34 – proving it is never too late to start your dream career. She has since worked in LA with NYX Cosmetics, did the makeup for Little Mix at the Brit Awards and set-up her own studio in North London.
Incredibly, she is almost entirely self-taught, drawing on her innate skills as an artist to build a body of work that serves as a template for her peers.
Anna’s unique style ranges from all-out body art make-overs to beautiful, subtle every day looks, which is evident on her Instagram feed. This has become home to Anna’s renowned make-over series including her recent 31 Days of Halloween and 12 Days of Christmas. As well as being a space in which she shares her favourite beauty tips and products with her followers.
Her list of celebrity clients is ever growing and includes: Boy George, Pixie Lott, Perrie Edwards, Stormzy, Maya Jama, Megan McKenna, Billie & Sam Faiers, Calum Best, Petra & Tamara, Eccelstone, Love island stars including Alexandra Cane, Eyal Booker, Lauren Anderson, Alec Bowen, Kady McDermott, Myles Barnett, Jess Rose, Pete Wicks, Lauren Pope, Danielle Armstrong, Chloe Sims, Jess Wright, Sophie Kasaei, Marnie Simpson and Charlotte Crosby.
