BOO brings Taiwanese decorative heritage to London with Tiled Reverie, a vibrant celebration of colour, pattern and cultural memory.
Taking place during London Design Festival 2026, Tiled Reverie draws inspiration from traditional Taiwanese decorative tiles, known as huāzhuān (花磚). Popular in Taiwan from around the 1920s, these colourful floral and geometric tiles decorated homes and temples and often symbolised prosperity, happiness and good fortune.
Founded in 2022 by Taiwanese fashion designer Bao Wen Chen, BOO is known for its original textile prints, bold colour and playful reinterpretation of familiar imagery. For Tiled Reverie, the brand collaborates with London-based Taiwanese multidisciplinary artist Yung Hsuan Wang (Walkthecatt), who reimagines traditional tile motifs through painting, collage, saturated colour and graphic forms.
The result brings historical Taiwanese visual culture into a contemporary setting, creating a dialogue between heritage, fashion and art.
A special reception takes place on Tuesday, 15 September 2026, from 6pm–8pm at 65A Charlotte Street, London W1T 4PJ, bringing together creatives and industry guests in the heart of Fitzrovia.
