Opened in May, Bucket’s bar is now in full swing, serving delicious signature cocktails such as the refreshingly briney seaweed martini, buckets of beers and seafood bites like the Fish Finger Sandwich, Lobster and Prawn Toastie and Cockles with Chorizo.
Tomorrow, on 1st August, they’ll be launching their ‘Bucket Oyster Hour,’ which will be centred around the built-in ice bar, serving up freshly shucked oysters for just £1 each throughout the week.
The Seaweed Martini, Bucket Slowdowners, Lobster Toasty and Bucket Fish Finger Sandwich have become so popular at the new Bucket restaurant and bar on Westbourne Grove, that husband and wife owners Georgie Godik Hayward and Adam Hayward are now welcoming guests into the bar as a destination in its own right. The £1 oysters are everyday with any bottle, jug, cocktail or bucket of beers.
The bar’s laid-back, do-as-you-like atmosphere, signature cocktails and seafood bites can also be enjoyed in the restaurant. Alternatively, there is the Bucket bar table with in-built ice bar, seating up to 8 and perfect for celebrations. The Bucket bar offers a convenient no-reservations option for drinkers and diners from 12.00 – 11.30 pm Monday to Saturday, and 12.00 – 10.30 pm on Sunday.
‘Bucket’s Oyster Hour’ will run from 4-7pm on weekdays and 4-6pm on weekends, serving sustainably sourced oysters for just £1 each, shucked to order at the bar. The oysters can be ordered with a changing line up of sauces, including the signature Bloody Mary sauce, cucumber and dill vinaigrette, red wine vinaigrette, chilli and ginger, or lemon and caper.
