Cannes, April 22, 2026 — The Cannes Film Festival has announced the final additions to its Official Selection for its 79th edition, completing a diverse lineup of international films across Competition, Un Certain Regard, Cannes Première, Special Screenings, and Family Screening sections.

Competition
The main Competition slate is strengthened by the inclusion of Paper Tiger, the latest feature from filmmaker James Gray, joining the race for the Palme d’Or.
Un Certain Regard
This section welcomes several distinctive voices and debut features, including:
- Victorian Psycho by Zachary Wigon
- Mémoire de Fille (A Girl’s Story) by Judith Godrèche
- Titanic Ocean, a debut feature by Konstantina Kotzamani
- Ulysse by Laetitia Masson, selected as the closing film of the section
Cannes Première
The Cannes Première lineup expands with:
- The End of It by Maria Martinez Bayona (1st film)
- Marie Madeleine (Mary Magdalene) by Gessica Gélinas
- Aquí by Tiago Guedes
- Mariage au Goût d’Orange by Christophe Honoré
- Si Tu Penses Bien by Géraldine Nakache
Special Screenings
This year’s Special Screenings include a mix of drama, animation, and documentary:
- Vesna (Spring) by Rostislav Kirpičenko (1st film)
- Ceniza en la Boca (Ashes) by Diego Luna
- Tangles by Leah Nelson (animation)
- Le Triangle d’Or by Hélène Rosselet-Ruiz (1st film)
- Groundswell, documentary by Joshua & Rebecca Tickell
Family Screening
- Lucy Lost by Olivier Clert (1st animated film)

The 79th Cannes Film Festival will take place from May 12 to May 23, 2026, showcasing a wide range of global cinema and emerging talent.
