MILAN — During Milan Women’s Fashion Week, sole leather consortium Cuoio di Toscana unveiled He(ART), a new women’s footwear collection created in collaboration with international footwear designer Paul Andrew.

The collection centers on traditional Tuscan leather craftsmanship integrated with contemporary design, highlighting vegetable-tanned leather, supply chain traceability, and sustainable manufacturing practices developed by the Consortium over its 40-year history.
Design and Collection Highlights
The centerpiece of the collection, The Fettuccine, offers a play on traditional Italian cuisine by adapting pasta-making techniques to leather working. Using specialized machinery to precisely cut and slice leather by thickness and length, Andrew utilized thin strips of Cuoio di Toscana sole leather as structural components, interweaving them into a distinct shoe silhouette. The style is produced in three colorways: gold, green, and black.
Additional designs featured in the collection include:
- Facet Sandal: A sculptural sandal presented in Cuoio di Toscana’s signature green, featuring a gem-adorned heel.
- Disco: A Merlot-colored pump with a tapered toe, thin ankle strap, and a crystal-embedded heel designed to resemble a disco ball.
- Efficient Mule: A mule silhouette offered in champagne and brown tones with a gold-finished heel.
- Softy: A feminine adaptation of the classic loafer.
