“Meghan Markle is an American actress and humanitarian when it comes to her wedding, she won’t want to be ostentatious with her bridal ensemble but will want to portray aspects of her own unique personality. I believe this will be reflected in her choice of dress. A royal wedding will demand a dress that will be in keeping with formal bridal tradition, however, I predict that there will be a little more personality and Hollywood glamour to the dress than we may expect.
I think it is unlikely she will opt for the English-rose, romantic look, instead choosing to wear a gown that is more elaborate, perhaps by Oscar de la Renta – a designer from her birthplace America – or Ralph & Russo who are known to be one of her favourites. She famously wore a Ralph & Russo dress for her engagement photos in December.
I think that Meghan will ensure her wedding shoes are sophisticated, as when paired with a more resplendent dress, the shoes should be kept understated. My opinion is that she will opt for a classic point or almond-toe court shoe with a fairly high heel, around 10 cm/4 inches, in a shade and material that matches the dress. That said, I would like to see her add something subtle but special to her shoes – an intricate design element such as an engraved or inlaid monogram for a really royal air, or a precious stone encrusted buckle or trim, adding a touch of glamour without being ostentatious.”
