Founder of a red carpet showroom redefining fashion at the world’s biggest festivals.
Each year during the Cannes Film Festival, one showroom has become a go-to destination for rising stars and global talents alike. Founded by Bozena Janisiw, the platform was created to spotlight emerging designers and offer red carpet opportunities to new faces in film. Blending high fashion with purpose, Bozena balances business, family, and the pace of showbiz with remarkable grace. In this exclusive interview, she shares the inspiration behind her journey, memorable red carpet moments, and empowering advice for women looking to make their mark in the fashion industry.
Q: Your showroom has become a go-to destination during the Cannes Film Festival. What inspired you to create this platform, and how has it evolved over the years?
A: My first trip to Cannes was in 2016. I was there with my partner, and while we were swept away by the glamour, the films, and the energy of Marché du Film, I noticed something—many rising actresses were struggling to access stunning gowns for the red carpet. Established stars often have exclusive contracts with major fashion houses. But what about the next generation of talent? That’s when the idea for our showroom was born. We began representing designers from across the globe, creating red carpet moments through collaborations with actresses, bloggers, and influencers. It’s been nine years now, and our showroom has grown into a trusted name built on relationships, passion, and impeccable curation.
Q: Working alongside your husband and traveling with your daughter, you seem to blend family and business seamlessly. How do you manage that balance, especially during such high-pressure events?
A: My family is my strength. My husband and I share the same passions, goals, and love for show business. Our daughter became part of this journey early on—she was not even a year old when she first came to Cannes! Now, she travels with us to Venice, Cannes, and other major events. We want her to see and understand our professional life. She enjoys it, and that brings us joy. It’s a blessing to live out our dreams together while staying connected as a family.
Q: You’ve styled some extraordinary talents on the red carpet. Any standout stories you can share?
A: Every festival brings something unique. We meet new talents, learn, and celebrate every success, big or small. But yes, some moments stay with us. In 2024, we had the honor of dressing a Cannes jury member—an opportunity typically reserved for the most established fashion houses. We also dressed a globally beloved actress from India, with over 70 million followers, who we were the first to invite to Cannes. Beyond the showroom, we also do PR for talents—singers, actors, athletes, bloggers. A highlight? Working with footballer Robert Lewandowski and his wonderful wife. Honestly, in show business, there are no limits.
Q: Running a high-profile showroom must come with its challenges. What have been your biggest obstacles—and proudest achievements?
A: I’ve always believed that competition is a motivator. It pushes me to innovate and stay sharp. Show business is open to all who are hardworking, honest, and driven. Of course, there are challenges—people dynamics, expectations, high pressure. Sometimes, I find myself playing the roles of a psychologist, teacher, or friend. But I embrace that. The proudest moments? Seeing respect and trust from our clients and collaborators. That’s the most rewarding success.
Q: You work with incredible designers around the world. What qualities do you seek in the brands and talents you support—and what advice do you have for aspiring women entrepreneurs in fashion?
A: I constantly observe the market, always looking for designs that celebrate femininity, elegance, and originality. When a woman feels beautiful, her confidence radiates—that’s what we aim to capture on the red carpet. To aspiring women entrepreneurs: dream boldly, set clear goals, and work smart. I believe deeply in women supporting women. Together, we can create powerful changes in business and fashion.
