London, UK – Karina Bond, the visionary British designer, is redefining the future of fashion with her latest AW25 collection, showcased at London Fashion Week. The highly anticipated presentation, hosted at the luxurious Mandrake Hotel, mesmerized audiences with dazzling couture crafted using millions of tiny glass beads that reflect light to create a glowing effect.
Karina Bond, a Central Saint Martins graduate, L’Oréal Prize winner, and Sarabande Foundation scholar, has made waves in the fashion industry with her pioneering use of 3D printing technology. Her latest collection introduces fully 3D-printed, hand-drawn couture pieces, setting a new benchmark for sustainable and innovative fashion. Each garment is meticulously crafted using TPU filament—a biodegradable, recyclable, and biocompatible material—eliminating the need for traditional sewing techniques and minimizing fabric waste.
“The AW25 collection challenges us to rethink the future of fashion,” says Bond. “We envision a world where customers can enter a store, get 3D scanned, select a material, and watch their chosen design being printed in real-time.”
The futuristic showcase was enhanced by an ethereal soundtrack from “Blade Runner” by Vangelis, adding to the avant-garde atmosphere. The collection’s striking aesthetic was complemented by an expert team of stylists, makeup artists, and hair professionals, including Kasia and Yuchen of Body London and Genesis Model Management, stylist Borna Prikaski, and beauty teams from Toni & Guy and STILA UK.
Bond’s trailblazing designs have already gained international acclaim. Her signature 3D hand-drawn dresses have graced the pages of British Vogue and adorned celebrities such as Chloe Bailey at the 2024 British Fashion Awards. She has been featured in leading fashion publications, including FAULT, Numéro, and Cosmopolitan, and her work has attracted admiration from global icons like Jean Paul Gaultier and Sir Elton John.
As part of her mission to inspire the next generation of fashion designers, Karina Bond will hold a special residency at Selfridges on February 23rd. The live demonstration, held in collaboration with the Sarabande Foundation’s House of Bandits pop-up, will showcase her revolutionary technique, allowing attendees to witness 3D fashion being hand-drawn from thin air.
With sustainability and innovation at its core, Karina Bond’s AW25 collection cements her place at the forefront of the fashion-tech revolution, proving that the future of couture is not just wearable—it’s printable.
