The start of the decade took off in style as London Fashion Week Mens kicked off what is to be a promising year for fashion in the nation’s capital. The latest collection for Autumn Winter 2020 was showcased by familiar menswear brands and a few new and emerging names as well as international designers who choose London as their fashion home. Amongst some of the interesting trends that emerged from some designers were the use of silk shirts, reworked ties, denim and dark fabrics.
There was also a host of international designers from China as part of a collaborative effort between 8on8 and GQ China. There were also positive reactions for other international designers who are popular with the London crowd – namely Per Gotteson and Astrid Anderson.
Not to be outdone the local British emerging talent such as Jordan Luca took to the catwalk and opened LFWM in an atmospheric setting. With many fashionistas in the crowd in their wonderful creations the designs on the runway were just as interesting to see. In particular Bethany Williams who delivered another fantastic collection almost a year on from her Queen Elizabeth II Award for British Design. All eyes will now be looking forward for when the show returns in a months time with the womenswear edition in February.
