Omar Mansoor inaugurates the 19th presence in the London Fashion Week with his collection titled, ‘Kaarvan’.

The word Kaarvan originates from Persian meaning united for mutual protection on a journey.

The collection is made in shades of beige and Plum with trimmings made from hand-woven Ikat fabric sourced from Uzbekistan. The colour Beige is used to depict the desert and plum colour is used to depict the joy of reaching the destination. The colour also symbolises simplicity, comfort, wisdom and trust with Plum is depicting dignity, peace, independence, and devotion.

As a campaigner of sustainability in fashion, Omar uses fabrics made up of a mix of new and recycled fibres in this collection as a means to care about our planet and the future of the fashion industry. This is also as a step towards shifting fashion from a linear to a circular model.

This evening wear collection consists of elegant silhouette midi dresses to full-length gowns that can be glamorously graced up by adding the right accessories.

This year, Omar Mansoor’s collection is presented physically at The Grand Connaught Rooms, London.
