A new trailer and official poster have been released for Other Mommy, the upcoming supernatural horror film directed by Rob Savage, ahead of its theatrical release on 9 October.
Produced by James Wan and backed by Blumhouse Atomic Monster, the film centres on a young girl named Bela, whose life takes a disturbing turn after she forms a connection with a sinister entity living in her home. The mysterious figure bears an unsettling resemblance to her own mother, raising the chilling question: “Can I go inside your heart?”
Academy Award-winning actress Jessica Chastain leads the cast in dual roles, portraying both Bela’s mother and the terrifying entity known as “Other Mommy.” She is joined by Jay Duplass as Bela’s father, “Daddo,” while Arabella Olivia Clark takes on the role of Bela.
The supporting cast features Dichen Lachman, Arian Moayed, and Karen Allen, bringing together an experienced ensemble for the psychological horror adaptation.
Other Mommy is directed by Rob Savage, known for Host and The Boogeyman. The screenplay is written by Nathan Elston, based on Josh Malerman’s New York Times bestselling novel Incidents Around the House.
The film is produced by James Wan, p.g.a., with Michael Clear, Judson Scott, Rob Savage, Josh Malerman, and Ryan Lewis serving as executive producers.
With its unsettling premise and psychological horror elements, Other Mommy is set to arrive in cinemas on 9 October.
