Liverpool FC has today revealed the New Balance home kit for the upcoming season (2019/20), which is now available to pre-order.

Reds unveil new bob paisley dedicated 2019 20 home kit

Paying homage to the Reds’ most successful manager, Bob Paisley OBE, the shirt is a special tribute in the year in which he would have turned 100 and the long-lasting legacy he left at the club. Each jersey has been inscribed with Paisley’s iconic signature on the inside of the neck, and also features an official swing tag dedicated to the legend.

Additionally, the 2019/20 home kit features white pin stripes on the front of the shirt, inspired by LFC’s kit in 1982/83, when Paisley was at the helm and led the team to their fourteenth league win. LFC and New Balance have chosen to retain the popular Red Pepper colour-way for the coming season, which was also a feature of the 1982/83 kit.

To commemorate the tragic events of Hillsborough, the 96 emblem, encased by the eternal flames sits at the nape of the neck.

Liverpool FC captain, Jordan Henderson, said: “This year’s home kit is incredibly strong. I’m really looking forward to wearing it every time we play at our beloved home of Anfield, as a symbol of the pride and passion you have when you’re a Red. It’s also a really fitting tribute to one of our greatest managers, Bob Paisley, and is a fantastic way to remember all his success.”

This season’s goalkeeper strip comes in a strong ‘Phantom’ black colour, with striking gold accent detail and has been developed in line with the outfield players’ jerseys.

Club goalkeeper, Alisson Becker, said: “I’m incredibly impressed by the style of this season’s goalkeeper jersey – it will really stand out on the pitch and will look great alongside the home kit.”

Confirmed for the 2019/2020 season, goalkeeper Alisson will be inheriting the heralded No.1 position, which will see the number change on his shirt from 13 to 1.

General Manager of New Balance Football, Kenny McCallum said: “We’re extremely excited and proud to reveal the New Balance Liverpool FC home kit. Bob Paisley’s incredible legacy was the ultimate inspiration for the 2019/20 strip in what would have been his 100th year. We hope this design will bring success to the club as it did when Paisley was manager.”

The kit officially launches New Balance’s “Live it” campaign for the 19/20 season, which aims to encapsulate the legendary spirit that unites Liverpool FC fans across the world.

LFC’s unique name and number style is also available again this season, exclusive to LFC Retail. The LFC fonts have been designed to embody iconic characteristics of Anfield Stadium and the surrounding area and come in white for the outfield players’ jersey and gold for the goalkeeper shirt.

The new kit will be available for pre-order in store and online from 9am on Thursday 18 April, for guaranteed worldwide delivery on the launch day, 9 May, when it will also be available to purchase in-store and online.

Fans pre-ordering an adult shirt, junior shirt, mini kit or baby kit will also receive a £10 Liverpool FC retail voucher to spend in-store and online between 1 June and 30 June.
