London, UK – The prestigious RHS Botanical Art and Photography Show is set to return to Saatchi Gallery for its fifth year, running from 13 June to 27 July 2025. Celebrating the beauty of plants through artistic and photographic excellence, the exhibition will feature works from talented artists and photographers from around the world.
This year’s showcase includes a diverse range of botanical subjects, from the delicate Japanese cherry blossom to the striking ‘Kangaroo paw’ plant of Australia. Other highlights include plants used in traditional Korean cosmetics and photographs capturing the rich biodiversity of locations such as South Africa’s Cape floral kingdom and Tuscany’s olive groves. A recurring theme in this year’s exhibition is the human connection to plants, emphasizing their significance in beauty, medicine, clothing, and fuel.
Each artwork has been meticulously reviewed by a panel of experts based on aesthetic appeal, scientific accuracy, and technical skill. Participants will compete for RHS medals—Gold, Silver-Gilt, and Bronze—as well as several prestigious awards, including Best Botanical Artwork, Best Botanical Art Exhibit, Best Portfolio Photography Exhibit, Best Single Image, and the Judges’ Special Award. Visitors will also have the opportunity to vote in the People’s Choice Award via the RHS website.
Charlotte Brooks, RHS Art Curator, expressed her excitement about the upcoming exhibition: “We are delighted to be showcasing the incredible talent of botanical artists and photographers from around the world at the Saatchi Gallery once again. This year’s exhibit highlights the deep connection between plants and people, showcasing their importance in our daily lives and the enduring relevance of botanical art.”
The RHS Botanical Art & Photography Show is part of the RHS’s long-standing commitment to botanical art, complementing the RHS Lindley Collections, which house over 30,000 botanical paintings and heritage photographs. For the first time, entry to the exhibition will be free, with visitors invited to make a donation to support Saatchi Gallery as a registered charity.
The event is supported by UK-based wealth management firm TrinityBridge, formerly known as Close Brothers Asset Management, which has been helping individuals, families, professionals, and businesses make informed financial decisions for over 30 years.
