The Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris France is hosting the “Thierry Mugler, Couturissime” exhibition, designed, produced and roaming by the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts (MMFA). This major exhibition retraces the work of the creator with a singular imagination who revolutionized fashion, haute couture and perfume. This Parisian stage marks the return of a visionary artist, photographer, inventor of perfumes and director, to the city where he had all the successes.

This major and unparalleled exhibition retrace the work of Thierry Mugler, a singular artist who has revolutionized the worlds of fashion, haute couture and perfume throughout his distinguished career.

The inauguration evening of the “Thierry Mugler: Couturissime” exhibition took place on Tuesday, September 28, at the MAD (Musée des Arts Décoratifs), in Paris. On this occasion, many celebrities dressed in Mugler looks came to celebrate the launch of this exhibition with him. It will be the last living expo and in his own country, coming back after years living and working abroad.

Thierry Mugler died on January 23, 2022 at his home in Vincennes at the age of 73, of “natural death”26. His funeral is celebrated on February 4, 2022 at the Protestant Temple of the Oratory of the Louvre. He is then cremated. His funeral urn is placed in the Père-Lachaise Cemetery.
