    Toronto Fashion Incubator (TFI) is hosting “A Celebration of Canadian Design” during London Fashion Week on 12th September for the Spring Summer 20 season

    DESIGNER LINE UP // A Celebration of Canadian Design

    Spring Summer 2020 welcomes “A Celebration of Canadian Design” during London Fashion Week on 12thSeptember, hosted by the Toronto Fashion incubator (TFI). An award-winning and highly acclaimed non-profit organization dedicated to supporting and nurturing Canadian fashion designers and creative entrepreneurs, TFI will be showcasing the best and brightest in the Canadian fashion scene. Participating designers were selected by a panel of prestigious judges including renowned fashion journalist Hilary Alexander, OBE and Jeanne Beker, media celebrity and former host of Fashion Television.

    This season’s line-up includes:

    ANASTASSIA SEL

    Anastassia Sel Jewelry is a collection of alternative fine jewellery, designed and handmade with elegant simplicity. Each object takes on an unorthodox approach to classic jewellery design and finds genius in the unconventional. Celebrities Nelly Furtado, Caitriona Balfe and Gina Torres are fans of this sustainable brand, with items crafted exclusively using 100% Canadian gold and a select list of diamond supply partners who are committed to providing top quality diamonds and coloured stones that are conflict-free. SR prices range from $250 – $7,000 CAD.

    DAVID DIXON

    For over 24 years, the David Dixon collection of exquisite special occasion wear has been sold across Canada, the United States, Kuwait, United Arab Emirates, Switzerland, Germany, Hong Kong and Tokyo. Designs are aspirational and approachable, modern and timeless. Dixon’s award-winning, made-in-Canada designs have won him a following among A-list celebrities including Jann Arden, Pamela Anderson, Meg Ryan, Wendy Crewson, Ashley MacIsaac, Holly Cole, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Kari Matchett, Paul Gross and Kristen Booth. SR prices range from $695 – $1,295 CAD.

    IRIS SETLAKWE

    Established in 2001, Iris Setlakwe is a bridge to high-end line of affordable luxury separates catering to professional, career-oriented women. The brand was created with one objective in mind: To create a women’s apparel line that fits perfectly in all the right places, using nothing but superior-quality textiles while supporting the local workforce. That focus remains today as 90% of the collection is made in Montreal, Canada. The collection retails from $145 to $635 CAD and is a favourite among celebrities such as Sophie Gregoire Trudeau, Isabelle Brais and Celine Galipeau.

    JUDITH & CHARLES

    Judith & Charles is a women’s ready-to-wear contemporary brand based in Montreal, Canada. The collection draws inspiration from contrasting elements of feminine softness and strength with tailored menswear and retails from $250 – $1,950 CAD. Operating on the guiding principles of quality craftsmanship, impeccable fit and clean styling, the line has drawn attention from notables including the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, Canada’s first lady, Sophie Trudeau, actor Kristin Kreuk and media personality Mari Pierre Morin. Ninety-five percent of the line is made in Montreal.

    J.Y. GAO

    The J.Y. GAO jewellery collection features feminine, wearable, kinetic art for modern women who appreciate art, design and innovation. Earrings, rings and necklaces are crafted from fine materials such as silver and gold and retail between $100 – $325 CAD. Worn by Canadian actors Grace Lynn Kung and Olunike Adeliyi, the line has garnered nominations and awards from prestigious organizations such as CAFA (Canadian Arts & Fashion Awards) and Tianfu Tuli, the largest design competition in China.

    KRIPPIT

    Krippit is a Toronto-based company that has created the first universal 3D printed high heel protector that empowers women from experiencing unwanted, embarrassing falls and damages to their high heels.  Available in a variety of colours and embellishments, the innovative, high-tech solution retails for $49.99 USD. Each piece in the collection features a bit of bling to add some sparkle for the woman who likes to add a little shine to her shoes. Celebrity stylist and Good Morning America fashion expert Jessica Mulroney is a devotee.

    pranga & co

    Established in 2017, pranga & co is doing for cufflinks, what Pandora did for the charm bracelet. The company has created a patent pending interchangeable cufflink system that allows wearers to change the decoration without having to buy an entirely new pair of cufflinks. Enjoyed by both men and women, the decorative pieces are made from a variety of upcycled materials such as vintage banknotes and fabric remnants to found objects such as glass and butterfly wings.     Studio Lorem Ipsum

    Studio Lorem Ipsum is a global brand established in 2018 in Vancouver, Canada, specializing in premium quality outerwear for women.     VANDAL
