Adubauh Studios presented Kente Uncut at African Fashion Week London 2026, showcasing a collection by Aduhema that explores Ghanaian heritage through contemporary tailoring and a gender-fluid design approach.
A third-year undergraduate, Aduhema developed a personalised kente cloth for the collection, drawing inspiration from traditional Ghanaian symbols. The resulting designs explore themes of empowerment, sophistication and growth, with each illustration and silhouette created as part of her individual artistic vision.

While the collection is grounded in traditional tailoring techniques, Kente Uncut takes an inclusive approach to design. The garments incorporate details including structured pockets and hand-sewn lapels, with silhouettes developed to complement both male and female forms.
The collection reflects Aduhema’s interest in combining cultural heritage with contemporary fashion. Storytelling, artistic expression and respect for Ghanaian traditions remain central to the design process.
Through Kente Uncut, Adubauh Studios presented a contemporary interpretation of kente, demonstrating how traditional cultural references can be explored through modern tailoring and inclusive fashion design.
