The single release coincides with Season 1, Episode 15 airing on 13th July 2026, marking the beginning of the anime’s second batch of episodes.
A Passion Project: Leo’s Deep Connection to LIAR GAME
The collaboration between Kroi and ‘LIAR GAME‘ stems from genuine artistic passion. Vocalist Leo Uchida has been a longtime fan of the original manga series, with his deep respect and admiration for the work evident throughout the song’s composition and energy.
“I’ve always been a huge fan of ‘LIAR GAME,’ so I’m truly happy to be working on the opening theme for the anime,” Leo explains. “I own the full manga series, and when I was in junior high school, I even played with the special cards for the ’17 Poker’ game that came with the drama DVD box set. It’s a series that means a lot to me.
When writing this song, I wanted to express the unique tension, dark mood, and intense psychological battles that I felt while reading ‘LIAR GAME’ through Kroi’s sound. With a beautiful melody and a dark, distorted sound, I think we were able to capture the many layers of lies and truth in the story. I believe this song brings together the world of ‘LIAR GAME’ and Kroi’s own style. I hope you’ll enjoy it together with the anime.”
