London welcomed a fresh and exciting addition to the fashion calendar with the launch of London Swim Week 2026, the UK’s first event dedicated exclusively to swimwear and resort wear.

Held at Core Clapton, the inaugural showcase was the vision of Helen Anderson, a London-based makeup artist, entrepreneur and founder of swimwear brand Watababe. Drawing on more than 25 years of experience across fashion, beauty, television and luxury brands, including work at London and Milan Fashion Week, Helen created the event to provide a dedicated platform for swimwear and resort wear designers while celebrating creativity, confidence, diversity and innovation within the industry.
The event brought together designers, creatives, industry professionals, media representatives and fashion enthusiasts for a day that showcased not only fashion but also the inspiring stories behind many of the brands taking part. Attending on behalf of FabUK Magazine, KittyNoofah experienced firsthand the passion, talent and entrepreneurial spirit that made the event such a memorable success.

TV presenter and DJ Hayley Palmer hosted the event, bringing her signature warmth, charisma and professionalism to the day and helping create a welcoming atmosphere for guests, designers and attendees alike.
Among the standout brands was Lady Survivors Swimwear, founded by a breast cancer survivor who struggled to find stylish and comfortable swimwear following a mastectomy. Determined to create something empowering for women facing similar experiences, she launched a collection designed to help survivors feel confident, fashionable and comfortable.
Another highlight came from jewellery brand Blauw van C, whose founder Cristina showcased how carefully chosen accessories can elevate swimwear from simple beachwear into complete fashion statements. Live illustrator Anna also captured key moments throughout the day, creating unique artistic keepsakes that reflected the energy and creativity of the event.

Guests were treated to live entertainment from East London rapper Horizyn and artist and fashion designer Stella Mae, bringing the inaugural showcase to a vibrant close.
For a first edition, London Swim Week delivered an impressive debut. More than just a runway event, it created a platform where fashion, empowerment and creativity could come together under one roof. Helen Anderson’s vision was evident throughout, successfully creating a welcoming space for both established and emerging talent while highlighting the future of swimwear and resort wear fashion.
As the curtains closed on the inaugural event, it was clear that London Swim Week had established itself as an exciting new addition to the UK’s fashion landscape and a promising platform for years to come.
