Berlin, 3 July 2026 — A curated pop-up fashion event, Ljubljana Fashion Week: ON BOARD Berlin, will transform the MS Heimatland ship into an immersive exhibition space during Berlin Fashion Week 2026, spotlighting a diverse range of contemporary Slovenian designers and creative practices.
The event is jointly presented by the Slovenian Cultural Centre Berlin SKICA Berlin, the Centre for Creativity, and the LJFW Institute. It will take place at HOŠEK Contemporary, MS Heimatland, Märkisches Ufer 1z, Berlin, from 17:00 to 22:00, with free entry, DJ set by Dash, and complimentary drinks.
Immersive fashion on a ship
Rather than a traditional runway format, the showcase is conceived as an immersive installation, where garments are displayed on illuminated structures across the vessel. Visitors are invited to explore collections at their own pace in a gallery-like environment.
Throughout the evening, live fashion interventions will animate the space, with models moving through the venue in choreographed walkthroughs, bringing selected looks to life without interrupting the social flow of the event.
The concept emphasizes direct engagement between designers, media, buyers, and visitors, encouraging tactile exploration, dialogue, and exchange within an informal setting.

Designers and featured brands
The event presents a wide spectrum of Slovenian fashion voices, including established and emerging designers working across knitwear, streetwear, conceptual fashion, zero-waste design, and experimental textiles.
Featured participants include:
- Ghost Town — known for streetwear rooted in community, culture, and visual storytelling
- Jona Bednjanec — producing locally crafted knitwear using machine and hand techniques
- Just A Corpse — blending dancewear, sportswear, and conceptual fashion

Platform for exchange and collaboration
The event is designed not only as a presentation platform but also as a networking space. Designers will be present throughout the evening, allowing visitors and industry professionals to engage directly with them, explore garments up close, and discuss creative processes and production methods.
According to the organizers, the goal is to strengthen cultural and professional ties between Ljubljana and Berlin while increasing the visibility of Slovenian fashion within the broader European creative landscape.
