Rounded, lifted, toned, shaped and filled—Brazilian butt lifts don’t just provide women with “bigger butts.” There has been a serious increase in this fat transferring surgery in the last five years, but why?

Dr. Hamza, French surgeon based in London and Paris, has probably done the most amount of Brazilian bottom lifts out of any surgeon and lectures on his techniques around the world. He has pioneered the Brazilian bottom lift surgery over 10 years ago, but saw more than a 50% increase in requests for this procedure in just the past five years. He explains why we may be so obsessed with our lower half nowadays.

The health surge has caused many to turn their attention to dieting programs and workout plans on social media that accommodate to even the busiest of schedules. Social media has made it easy to become a paid fitness sensation, without needing any sort of certification. Many people have taken to these social media stars fitness programs. I see many patients who have undergone significant weight loss which has changed their figure and they request a toning surgery to complement their weight loss accomplishment.

Kim Kardashian, Chloe Sims and Nicki Minaj are just few of the acclaimed celebrities known for their big bums. Many clients come into the clinic holding pictures on their phones of these celebrities, among others, they wish to resemble. Celebrity influence is one of the main reasons we may have seen a rise in the Brazilian bum.

Increased level of safety and brief downtime afterwards make this fat transfer procedure a great fit for those with a full diary and no time for a lengthy recovery. The fat from the abdomen, thighs or hips are safely suctioned then carefully processed and purified by decanting and centrifugation, and then transferred to the buttocks. The surgery takes anywhere from one to two hours to perform. The amount of downtime ranges from one to three weeks, depending on the patients case and the extremity of what they desire to be done.

The results leave clients impressed with more than one area of their body because of the loss of fat where it is not wanted, and the addition to where it is wanted: their bum. Through my specialised body sculpting technique, the patient’s own fat is used to accentuate the curves that she may already have, and/or would like to gain.

10% or 20% of the results may become less noticeable immediately afterwards, but at least 80% will remain prominent for a lifetime. Clients have appreciated the way the Brazilian butt lift fits their body shape, although their figure may change over time. If they increase or decrease in weight everything still remains in proportion. The procedure can cost between £6,500 and £10,000.
