It was a couple weeks ago that the Sochi International Film Festival and Awards ended on a high note when prizes were given to filmmakers and actors in a glittering ceremony at the Radisson Blu Paradise Resort & Spa in Sochi, Russia. But the closing awards ceremony was just one of several events held during the 6 day festival.
There was the invitation only opening ceremony, a white hat evening ascot-style dinner and dance, a star installation ceremony honoring filmmaker Mohy Quandour and Russian legend Larissa Luzhina, and performances from both the soloists from the Mariinsky Academy of Young Opera Singers, the Sochi Symphony Orchestra conducted by Oleg Soldatov, and the Kandour Quartet. Below is a photo essay of the 3rd Sochi International Film Festival and Awards – and here’s to looking forward to next year!
