In an era when fashion is redefining its relationship with the environment, Sy&Vie is proving that sustainability and artistic excellence can coexist in perfect harmony. At this year’s Torino Fashion Week, the brand founded by designer Sylvie Quartara presented a collection that blurred the boundaries between fashion, contemporary art and conscious design.
Presented within the magnificent setting of Palazzo Saluzzo Paesana, one of Turin’s most prestigious historic residences, the collection offered more than a runway show—it invited the audience into a visual narrative where every handbag became a sculptural object, every silhouette a dialogue between craftsmanship and creativity.
Complementing the collection was an international collaboration with EMMIH, the Brazilian knitwear label founded by designer Emilio Bonduki. The refined knitwear designs enhanced Sy&Vie’s artistic vision, creating a harmonious conversation between garments and accessories without ever competing for attention.
Far beyond conventional accessories, Sy&Vie handbags are conceived as collectible pieces of wearable art. Every design is handcrafted through a meticulous creative process requiring up to 140 hours of work, reflecting a commitment to exceptional craftsmanship, originality and timeless quality.
Nature is the brand’s greatest source of inspiration. Organic forms, sculpted wood, natural fibres and recycled materials become the foundation of an aesthetic language that celebrates beauty while embracing environmental responsibility. Sustainability is not treated as a trend but as an integral part of the creative process, guiding every decision from material selection to production.
In a fashion landscape increasingly shaped by fast consumption, Sy&Vie embraces a slower and more meaningful approach. By producing limited collections and prioritising artisanal techniques, the brand creates pieces designed to endure—both physically and emotionally. Each handbag is intended not simply to complement an outfit, but to become part of a personal story.
“I have always wanted to create much more than a handbag. My dream was to design small works of art that people could carry with them—pieces capable of telling stories and evoking genuine emotions,” says Sylvie Quartara.
Her philosophy perfectly encapsulates the essence of the brand. Each creation reflects the meeting point between artistic expression, traditional craftsmanship and sustainable innovation, demonstrating that contemporary luxury is increasingly measured not by excess, but by authenticity, purpose and longevity.
Sy&Vie’s participation in Torino Fashion Week marks another significant milestone in the brand’s international journey, reaffirming its vision of fashion as a cultural language capable of connecting art, design and environmental awareness.
Today, true luxury is no longer defined by exclusivity alone. It is defined by the ability to create objects that respect the planet, celebrate human craftsmanship and retain their emotional value over time.
Sy&Vie embodies this new vision of luxury, transforming sustainability into beauty and craftsmanship into wearable art—proving that the most meaningful creations are those designed not only to be admired, but to endure.
