WASHINGTON – On Wednesday, June 26, 2024, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Xavier Becerra (pronounced Ha-vee-air Beh-sehr-rah) will visit Boise, Idaho as part of the national “Reproductive Health for All Tour.”
At 8:45 a.m., Secretary Becerra will join Boise Mayor Lauren McLean for a sit-down conversation with local patients and health care providers who have been personally impacted by abortion restrictions in Idaho. This event is open to the press, and following the conversation, Secretary Becerra will take questions from the media.

This is Secretary Becerra’s eighth visit and sixth state on his tour, with previous stops including Las Vegas, Nevada; Phoenix and Tucson, Arizona; Denver, Colorado; Albuquerque, New Mexico; and Los Angeles, California. Becerra’s tour is highlighting the Biden-Harris Administration’s efforts to protect and expand access to reproductive health care at a time when abortion care, in vitro fertilization procedures, and contraception are under attack.
