Krucible is elated to announce the third capsule of the groundbreaking four-part “Fragile Armour ” collection. Promising to captivate and inspire, all pieces will be handmade in London, in small, limited production runs using luxury deadstock materials.
In this capsule collection, Creative Director Alexander Barakat explores themes of liminality and the concept of being in-between. It delves into the realms between life and death, day and night, and body and soul. Focusing on womenswear, the third capsule introduces the striking ‘Chrysalis dress’ available in various colorways. These garments investigate the delicate nature of our protective mechanisms, which encompass masks, boundaries, and our sense of self. Just like a chrysalis that grows and hardens, only to be shed in a continuous cycle of rebirth and renewal, we grapple with what to reveal and what to conceal, often attempting to hide scars with humour and disguising trauma as adornment. This collection reflects the fragility of these self-made defences, which both define and confine us as we pursue self-fulfilment and growth in our twenties.
