As an artist, I strive to be “the deep sea”. There is no limit and no end. It’s refreshing but warm and full of unknown wonders. For the past two years, I have been creating works of art, dreaming of standing out among others in the time I have left on this Earth. I’m very proud of my profession as a hairdresser, so I focused on expressing my art through hairstyles, make-up and fashion.
I’m in charge of art direction and hair. It was June 2019 when I first started to create works of art with the help from exceptional make-up artists and photographers.
“Design with Hair”
It’s not normal. The limits of the material are determined by physical factors such as gravity. Therefore, I face a number of technical difficulties when trying to bring my imagination to life using a head of hair. However, when the work is finally completed, it’s beyond fantastic, beyond surreal.
I want the art I create to be emotional, not just beautiful. It doesn’t matter if it evokes joy, awe, or wonder. When confronting “it”, people’s hearts should not be like a lake without waves, but calm like that of a source of life, and sometimes an ocean that swallows everything and turns it into algae.
Art can be unconditionally beautiful. But on the other hand, when you take a step forward, there is a reality of the outside world.
Sometimes you will face a reality that makes you want to cover your eyes. Imagine the true beauty at times like these and feel the rays of light that I create.
My creations reflect me and they speak in the language of art.
The hair art of RYUTA TOMONO created by “madness” that dwells in sensibility and creativity, that “Superior Art” that enchants with it’s delicacy and exception skill set.
