LOS ANGELES, CA — The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has selected digital creator and filmmaker Reece Feldman as the official Social Media Ambassador and Red Carpet Correspondent for the 99th Oscars® season.

In his new position, Feldman will cover major milestones leading up to the main event, including the Academy Museum Gala, the Governors Awards, and the Nominees Luncheon. His coverage will culminate on the Oscars red carpet, where he will conduct live interviews with nominees and industry talent.
The 99th Oscars ceremony will take place on Sunday, March 14, 2027, at the Dolby® Theatre at Ovation Hollywood. The show will broadcast live at 7 p.m. ET / 4 p.m. PT on ABC, stream live on Hulu, and air in more than 200 territories globally.
Bridging the Gap Between Film Fans and Hollywood
Academy leadership pointed to Feldman’s track record of translating cinema culture for online audiences as a primary reason for the partnership.
“Reece is a longtime friend of the Academy, and we are so thrilled to welcome him this year in an expanded role,” said Jennifer Davidson, Chief Marketing, Communications and Content Officer for the Academy. “His passion for film, cultural influence and unique perspective on our community have won the trust of filmmakers while connecting with audiences in new and engaging ways. We think everyone will enjoy his peek behind the curtain of this year’s Oscars season.”
For Feldman, the role represents an opportunity to connect moviegoers directly to the industry’s biggest night.
“Every movie lover’s dream is to feel close to the Oscars, and my goal is to bring them as close as I possibly can to that experience,” Feldman said. “It is cinema’s most celebrated night, and I’m honored to represent fans and supporters of the filmic arts leading up to and through the ceremony.”
From Social Media Content Creator to Cannes Filmmaker
Feldman built his online presence under the handle @guywithamoviecamera, accumulating over three million followers across TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube. His content centers on behind-the-scenes access to movie sets, film premieres, and industry awards shows.
Beyond digital content creation, Feldman launched his filmmaking career in 2025 with the short film Wait, Your Car?, starring Whitney Peak, Ruby Cruz, Minnie Mills, and Noa Fisher. The short premiered at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival as part of TikTok’s official festival partnership. Feldman has also been featured on Forbes’ 30 Under 30 list for his work in the digital media industry.
